Cookie policy.
Effective 2026-06-13
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on guardino.ai. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
In short: the signed-in dashboard uses only strictly necessary and preference storage; our public marketing pages additionally use Microsoft Clarity analytics — which never loads for EU/EEA, UK, Swiss or Turkish visitors, honours Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track everywhere else, and which you can opt out of.
What are cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. "Local storage" is a related browser mechanism that stores small values on your device. Both can be "first-party" (set by us) or "third-party" (set by another domain).
Strictly necessary
"better-auth.session_token" (first-party): keeps you signed in. It is HTTP-only, Secure, SameSite=Lax, and scoped to .guardino.ai so your session works across our subdomains (for example the marketing site and the dashboard). No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies, and the Service will not work without it.
Preference
"NEXT_LOCALE" (first-party): remembers the interface language you selected so we can serve the correct localisation on your next visit. It stores a language code only and is not used for tracking.
Analytics (marketing pages only) — Microsoft Clarity
Our public marketing pages use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation; tag id wheayvsjkj) to understand how visitors use those pages. Clarity may set cookies and similar storage and records anonymised interaction events (cursor movement, clicks, scrolling, page navigation) used to build session replays and heatmaps.
Clarity is loaded on the marketing site only — never inside the authenticated dashboard. We do not load it at all for visitors in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or Türkiye (where prior opt-in consent would be required and we show no banner), and everywhere else it loads only when your browser does not signal Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track (DNT) — both of which we honour. You can additionally opt out using Microsoft's opt-out at clarity.microsoft.com, or by blocking cookies and scripts for this site in your browser. Microsoft's terms are at clarity.microsoft.com/terms and its privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
What we do not use
We do not set advertising cookies, social-media pixels or third-party tracking identifiers inside the dashboard, and we do not run advertising trackers anywhere on the Service.
Managing storage
You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings at any time. Blocking the session cookie will sign you out and prevent the dashboard from working; blocking the preference cookie only means your language choice is not remembered; opting out of Clarity (via Microsoft's opt-out or by blocking cookies and scripts for this site) stops the marketing-page analytics.
For "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under US state privacy laws, we honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal — though, as noted in our Privacy Policy, we do not sell or share personal information.
Changes and contact
If we introduce any new cookies or technologies, we will update this page and, where legally required, ask for your consent first.
